Exciting performance at Te Deum

Last night I had the privilege of performing Suites 1, 2 and 6 by J. S. Bach and as always, it was an inspiring event! Every time I get to play the Bach Suites, it’s such an uplifting and rewarding experience. Such wonderful music and the audience is so appreciative.

The venue was Te Deum, a church music university that has an on-going seminar about Bach himself and his life and work. I’ll be a part of this until the final performance of the St. Matthew Passion in October, 2011.

So stay tuned for more updates on this!

KL PAC was a success for Cellish!

It's been just over a week since our Cellish performance at KL PAC, and so far the response has been very positive and exciting! Of course, most everyone enjoyed the heavy metal songs above all, but what else could be expected, right?

Looking forward to our next performance, which is planned at No Black Tie for August 23rd at 9:30PM. Keep your calendar free for that!

In other news, our new CD - fuegokoori : Beneath the Surface is available for purchase, either through me or at CDBaby.com - just search for fuegokoori and you'll find it. If you'd like a personally signed copy, just show up at our concert and ask!

Another fun evening at NBT

It was definitely a fun time yesterday evening at No Black Tie, and the crowd was pretty good, too. I started off with a Suite for Cello by Bach, followed directly by Bunraku by Toshiro Mayuzumi, which I heard was "haunting". Then Dylan Lee joined me for a few Latin Dances which were very well received.

After a short break, Cellish took the stage and we played our set of Renaissance to Tango, finishing off with Libertango by Piazzolla. All in all, we had a great time and look forward to expanding into the heavy metal and jazzy scene for our next performance.

Thank you to all who came to support us!
